The Okanagan Valley is BC’s primary wine producing and is home to more than 100 winerie and has been named a Frommer’s “Top Travel Destination”. BC wines are consistently ranked amongst the best in the world at international competitions. In 2010, BC wines were awarded trophies at the prestigious International Wine & Spirit Competition in London, in addition to Best in Show and Gold medals at more than 10 other renowned international competitions.

Many wineries choose to participate in the Vintners Quality Alliance (VQA), a designation that guarantees a wine’s appellation of origin and stipulates quality standards. In essence, BC VQA is an assurance that the wine is 100% from BC.
