It’s that time of year when nature begins to tell us that the days are longer, the air and earth is warmer.  Sleepy bulbs are now surfacing into vibrant tulips and the birds are certainly chirpier.    We are excited in Summerland to be welcoming spring which means of course that summer is quickly next in line. 

But it’s an awkward time when some people are confused about footwear choices.  Their dilemna starts with the inner human conflict – the longing for summer vs the practicality of socks when the air is still a bit nippy.  Well, us Summerlanders are here to tell you ….commit!  Commit to summer and leave the socks at home.  Consider it your way of celebrating that the season has officially arrived.  In fact, if you like, you can pitch your socks in the bin when you arrive in the Lobby.  It will be your homage to summer…afterall you will be in Summerland!
